World Crafts Council International provides information
on the crafts and their makers to individuals, organizations,
governments and private agencies. It fosters and assists
cultural exchange-through conferences, international visits
by craftspeople for the purpose of study, lectures and workshops
and through curated travelling exhibitions. World Crafts
Council International pursues economic development of craft
through export/import surveys and other activities.
The main objective of the World Crafts
Council International is to strengthen the status of crafts
as a vital part of cultural and economic life. The Council
aims to promote fellowship among the craftspeople of the
world and to offer them encouragement, help and advice.
The
World Crafts Council International is organised into five
regions...Africa, Asia,Europe,Latin America and North America.
Countries within these regions are members of World Crafts
Council International as National Entities and they must
be able to represent the craft and craftspersons of their
country and to meet the obligations of membership in World
Crafts Council International.
This

Council Asia Pacific Region. The World Crafts Council Asia
Pacific office caters to the promotion of the crafts of
this region. The member countries of the World Crafts Council
Asia Pacific Region work closely with their respective governments
for the promotion of crafts in their countries.
