30TH WORLD CRAFTS COUNCIL ASIA PACIFIC REGIONAL ASSEMBLY AND CRAFT DEVELOPMENT FOR THE WORLD MARKET WORKSHOP & SEMINAR + GOURMET FESTIVAL FROM 1ST TO 6TH SEPTEMBER 2007 IN BANGKOK, THAILAND

Dear Member,

I am pleased to announce that the 30th World Crafts Council Asia Pacific Regional Assembly will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 1st - 6th September 2007. I would like to invite you to attend this Assembly for us to exchange opinion and to formulate activities for the progress of crafts and well-being of the craftspeople in the region. In conjunction with the World Crafts Council Asia Pacific Regional Assembly, various activities like seminar, crafts exhibition and tours are organized to join the celebration on the auspicious occassion of His Majesty the King of Thailand's 80th birthday anniversary.

The registration fee is US $325 for early bird (upto 30th June, 2007) and US $350 (upto 31st July, 2007) per person. This fee covers Assembly and Seminar / Workshop programme, conference documents, seminar bag, 6 nights accomodation, meals, entrance fee to cultural show and events.

For the Asia Pacific Craft Exhibition, each sub region is advised to highlight the theme and atmosphere of each region. Products selected for the exhibition must be unique, good quality and usable. Utilitarian crafts are highly recommended. Exhibitors are expected to bear transportation costs for their exhibits to Bangkok.

Optional tour at a fee of US $18 per person (including lunch, transportation and entrance fees) to Ayuthaya - the World Heritage and Crafts Village will be organized. Please register together with the registration of the 30th World Crafts Council Asia Pacific Regional Assembly. A post conference tour 'Crafts and World Heritage in Thailand' at a fee of US $180 will also be held from 7 - 11 September, 2007.
