The Regional Craft Improvement Workshop - Exhibition

The Regional Crafts Improvement Workshop was held in Kuala Lumpur from 15-21, March 2003. The event was hosted by the Malaysian Handicrafts Development Corporation.

The workshop was organised into three sections - wood, cane and rattan. Craftspersons from various countries of the Asia Pacific Region participated in the workshop. It was a very interactive and useful workshop for the craftspersons.

Along with this event, the UNESCO Crafts Prize for the Asia Pacific Region and the Young Craftspersons Competition were also held. The UNESCO Crafts Prize was presented to articles made of cane, bamboo and rattan.
