National Craft Day, 2006

 

The National Craft Day was held from 27th February to 4 March 2006. The theme for the National Craft Day 2006 is “Alam Ilham – Motif Kraf”. The National Craft Day highlights various activities on crafts to create awareness among the public at large on the availability of numerous types of local crafts and their wide-ranging uses. It was held to recognize the contribution of the craft entrepreneurs and activist in developing the craft industry in Malaysia. It has continuously been an inspiration that have motivated craft entrepreneurs to develop the craft industry.

In conjunction with the National Craft Day, World Crafts Council Asia Pacific Region held its 29th Regional Assembly. Among other activities held are fashion shows, exhibitions and sales by eleven countries from the Asia Pacific Region.
