Asia Pacific Crafts Demonstration In Conjunction With Malaysia National Craft Day, 2008

 

Nine member countries of World Crafts Council Asia Pacific Region participated in the Asia Pacific craft demonstration organized by Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation in conjunction with Malaysia National Craft Day 2008 from 27 March to 7 April 2008 in Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex. Craftspeople from Thailand, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Lebanon, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Islamic Republic of Iran and India demonstrated their crafts-making skills. Craftspeople-at-work exhibited their works, tools and techniques. The areas demonstrated are natural dye, wood inlay, felt, ceramics, stone carving, weaving, embroidery, filigree and hand made paper. This craft demonstration activity achieved its mission which was to encourage craft education and to strengthen the relationship among the craftspeople of Asia Pacific region.
