Bio Data:

Ruby Ghuznavi, Managing Director of ARANYA, has revived natural dyes in Bangladesh. For the last two decades she has trained craftspeople and organizations and marketed natural dye products both at home and abroad.

A founder member of KARIKA, the first craft marketing organization in Bangladesh and of the NATIONAL CRAFTS COUNCIL OF BANGLADESH (NCCB) of which she is currently the President.

She is a member of NARIPOKKHO, a women's activist organization and is a trustee of TRANSPARENCY INTERNATIONAL, BANGLADESH.

She was the Country Delegate for Bangladesh from 1975 to 1992 of Terre Des Hommes, Switzerland, a Swiss NGO on child rights. She is currently the President of the National Crafts Council of Bangladesh.

Her publications include, "RANGEEN" on natural dyes in Bangladesh and "NAKSHA" on the crafts and designs of Bangladesh. She has done research studies on Women in Food for Work and other developmental issues.
